N.Z. APPLES HELD UP BY DOCK STRIKE

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 27. Three ships with cargoes dt New Zealand apples are held up at British ports by the dock strike,. states a cable received today by the chairman of the New Zealand Apple and Pear Marketing Board (Mr J. H. Parker). About 120,000 cases of Jonathan, Delicious and Golden Delicious apples are waiting to be unloaded from the Port Victor, Rakaia, and Port Wellington. There is keen interest in the market, according to the cable, and a slight improvement in prices.
