CHRISTCHURCH BRANCH Mrs F G- Weideman, president of the Fendalton sub-branch of the Plunket Society, Mrs C. F. McKee, president of the Kaiapoi sub-branch, and Mrs E. B Smith, secretary of the Riccarton sub-branch, were welcomed to the monthly meeting of the Christchurch branch of the society. Mrs H. S. S. Kyle, who has served on the Riccarton committee for more than 20 years, was welcomed back alter having leave.j, , , Mrs Janet Williams was granted six weeks' leave of absence, and Mrs W. Pryce was granted six months’ leave. Mrs K- Munro was elected a new member of the committee. Sympathy was expressed .with the relatives of Mrs David Crozier, a life member of the society, who died reCe it was agreed that the society would enter a float in the procession to end the "Operation Safety Week cam- : paign to be held in October. The so- : ciety will demonstrate ways of preventing accidents in the home.
