MINISTERS REPORT ON PORTFOLIOS

GOVERNMENT POLICY EXAMINED (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 26. The Prime Minister (Mr Holland) and members of the Cabinet were present today at a> meeting of the Dominion executive committee % of the National Party. Mr Holland said tonight that the meeting was in conformity with the series of meetings which members of the Government had held since the beginning of the year to review policy and to discuss its development. Ministers were present at today’s meeting to give information on subjects associated with their portfolios. A wide range of topics was discussed. “This is another step in the thorough examination of the working of Government policy sipce the General Election and in the initiation of new policy to meet the changing needs of these expanding times,” said Mr Holland. He added that Ministers and members of the Dominion executive committee all regarded today’s discussions as of the greatest value. The chairman of the Wellington division of the party (Mr D. O. Whyte) presided in the absence of the Dominion president (Mr A. McKenzie). Divisional chairmen reported on activities in their districts.

The meeting will be continued tomorrow.
