H-BOMB NOW ISSUE IN ELECTION

LONDON, May 20.

Sir Winston Churchill and Mr Attlee, who enlivened the election campaign this week with a round of name-calling, are now clashing in public over the Socialists’ H-bomb policy.

They are putting the only real fire ifito the campaign, which is in the last stages before the British electors vote in the new 630-seat House of Commons next,Thursday. Sir Winston Churchill touched off the personal attacks, which at first were mild, when he dubbed Mr Attlee “piebald” because of the troubles in Labour’s ranks.
