GOLF TOURNEY AT HAVANA

FURGOL WINS FROM BURKEMO

(NJZ. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 9.30 p.m.) HAVANA, December 20. Ed. Furgol, the United States open golf champion, yesterday won the 15,000 dollars Havana invitation golf tournament with a four-round total of 273.

Furgol, who has a withered arm, shot a five-under-scratch 67 in the final round for a one-stir ke victory over Walter Burkemo.

Furgol was suffering from painful pulled muscles in his other arm, but he showed his best form since winning the United States open last June. Al Besselink finished in a third-place tie at 275 with Shelley Mayfield. Fifth was Tommy Bolt, with 276.
