OBITUARY

MR N. HILL SKINNER The death occurred on Saturday night of Mr Nathaniel Hill Skinner, of Merivale lane. Boro at Albury, in New South Wales, Mr Hill Skinner opened a photographic studio in Melbourne, when he was only 16 years old: He came to New Zealand in 1914 and was first employed with the firm of Chandler and Company. For several years in the early 1920’s he was advertising manager of "The Press.” Afterwards, with Mr J. A. Jewell, he started the JewellSkinner Advertising Agency. The name of the agency was later changed to Hill-Skinner. . . Keenly interested m golf, Mr Hill Skinner was an early member of the Harewood club and was for a tune its secretary. Later he joined the Christchurch Golf Club. _ During World War H he was actively associated with the war loan campaigns and the emergency precautions organisation. . . , , . . Mr Hill Skinner is survived by his wife, a son. Mr John Hill Skinner, of Christchurch, and a daughter, Mrs N. Williamson, of Christchurch.
