PICKWORTH IN GOOD FORM (F\z. Press Association— Copyright) (Rec. 10.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 7. In a tense, rain-drenched finish. Australia beat the United States for the first time in the professional International Cup golf series at the Lakes, yesterday. Ossie Pickworth, in superb form, won the series in Australia’s favour with a 1-up victory over Tommy Bolt in the last match of the day. Had he lost, the series would have been halved, and America would have retained the cup. Australia won one of yesterday’s four singles, lost one. and halved two. Scores:—D. Douglas beat J. Mclnnes, 3 and 2; K. Nagle and M. Furgol. all square: N. von Nida and E. J. Harrison, all square; H. O. Pickworth beat T. Bolt, 1 up.
