Cardinal Schuster Dead

ROME, August 29. Alfredo Udefonso Cardinal Schuster, aged 74, Archbishop of Milan, died yesterday at the Venegono Seminary, north of Milan. He had been suffering from an ailment of the blood circulation. His death created the second vacancy in the 70-strons College of Cardinals. The first gap in the college, brought

to full strength by the Pope nearly two years ago, was caused by the death of the Italian Cardinal Massimo Massimi last March. The college now consists of 24 Italian and 44 non-Italian Princes of the Church.
