NATIONAL WOMEN’S TOURNAMENT
SECOND DAY’S MATCHES (New Zealand Press Association) BLENHEIM, August 29. The second day’s matches of the New Zealand women’s «hockey tournament were played in fine weather on fast grounds yesterday. Results were:— Major Section A.—Malvern 3, Canterbury A 0; Auckland Country 3, Taranaki 2; Wairarapa 4, Otago 2. Major Section B.—Auckland Town 6, Canterbury B 0; Maniatoto 2, Wellington 1; Eastern Southland 4, Rangitikei 2. Minor Section A.—Bush 2, Southland 1; North Otago 1, Nelson B 0; Wanganui 2, Central Otago 0. Minor Section B.—Waikato 2, South Otago 1; Poverty Bay 2, Nelson A 1; Hawke’s Bay 8, Marlborough B 1. Minor Section C.—Ashburton 5, Horowhenua 2; Manawatu 5, Buller 4; Marlborough A 2, South Canterbury 2.
