SENIOR COMPETITION MATCHES
As Old Boys had established an unbeatable lead for the championship, and University was engaged in the university tourney, there was little interest taken in the two remaining games in the first division of the Canterbury Hockey Association s senior grade competition on Saturday. TRINITY ▼. WOOLSTON Woolston set the pace early in the game, and James scored from an acute angle. W. Rogen and K. Mortimer. TECHNIVAL V. BRLWYN Technical played with more dash to beat Selwyn 3-1 in a very poor game. Play was even for a time, and then Gardner scored the only goal of the spell. Good combination between Burrowes and Collins gave Technical a second goal early in the second spell. Shortly before time Collins scored from a penalty corner. Umpires: Messrs B. Keeling and L. Teague. SECOND DIVISION The match between the two top teams in the second division was won by Sydenham by 4 goals, scored by Cumberpatch (2) and McKinnon (3). to 2, scored by Clements and Newton.
