Road Safety Committee Crs. J. E. Jones and J. Shankland were appointed members of the Road Safety Committee by the City Council on Monday. The third member is Cr. N. JI. Forbes (chairman of the traffic committee). The council also decided to invite the following bodies to nominate one representative each:— Canterbury Education Board, Transport Department, Canterbury Drivers Union, Goods Transport Operators Association, Canterbury Taxi Proprietor Association, A.A.C., Police Department. combined motor-cycle clubs road safety committee, Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, combined cycling clubs, Pioneer Motor Club.
