HALAFIHI KNOCKS OUT . CRIVIC (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 12, Johnny Halafihi, of Tonga, knocked out Rudy Crivic, of Australia, in the third round of a professional heavyweight boxing contest in the Town Hall, Auckland, tonight. Crivic weighed 12st 111 b and Halafihi 12st 61b. Peter Day (Auckland) beat Peter Schmidt on points in a professional preliminary bout. Schmidt weighed 14st 61b, and Day 13s lib. BEATON BEATS CLANCY ON POINTS (New Zealand Press Association) ' WELLINGTON, July 12. Charlie Beaton, of Australia, scored a narrow points victory over Eddie Clancy, of Roxburgh, when they met in a 12-round middle-weight boxing contest at the Wellington Town Hall tonight-.. For a main bout the fight was easily the worst seen this season. There was little real boxing. Billy Beazley, of Wellington, beat Charlie Smith, of Auckland, on points in a supporting bout.
