New Zealand horses raced well in Australia on Saturday. At the Doomben meeting Brisbane, Ixird Bosworth was successful, while Lancaster and Rising Fast showed they are nearing their best for cnaagements in rich events later this month, when they gained second p’.aclngs in their respective races. At Rosehill, Impress and Arable were both placed. The Defaulter gelding. Roue gained a convincing win in a £7OQ race at Caulfield. Royal Ascot won a £2006 seven, furlon? handicap in Adelaide with ridiculous ease.
