Lord Bosworth won a division of the Flying Handicap; Rising Fast was beaten into second place in the other Flyhw Handicap division; and Lancaster filled j similar position in the Doomben Hanfii. cap. Lancaster was odds-on favourite. Takatu finished out of a place in th« Doomben Handicap, and Paper Strip wu a moderate sixth in the Second Flying Handicap.
