ELEVEN DROWNINGS LAST MONTH

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 1. Eleven lives were lost by drowning last month. It was the worst record for any November. Nine of those killed were under 20 years, including three children under five. Three lives were lost in rivers, two in dams and one each in a bath tub, lily pond, stream, lake and open sea, and from a capsized boat. In November last year seven lives were lost.
