HOUSE DESTROYED BY FIRE

(New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, November 9. A five-roomed modern house owned by Mr* N. I. Wilson, a Railways Department employee, of Lumsden, was destroyed by fire today. The cause of the fire is not known. The contents were not insured. Mrs Wilson and her three young children escaped without injury. Mr Wilson, a returned serviceman of World War 11, has been a patient in the Kew Public Hospital, and was discharged today. An immediate appeal was made by the Lumsden Red Cross Society for clothing for the children, and an emergency meeting of residents opened a public subscription list.
