ARRANGEMENTS MADE FOR PRIVATE BOARD
gill for the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s Royal show on January 27, 28, and 29, has been completey taken over by the official party travelling with the Queen, To solve the problem of housing visitors to the show the association has appointed Mr J. Barron as accommodation officer and he will be at the Canterbury show on Wednesday to arrange accommodation for Canterbury exhibitors. “We haven’t got one hotel room available, but there is plenty of private accommodation,” he said yesterday. “If anyone wants to go down they need only get in touch with me and I will fix them up.” Farmers and others in and around Invercargill had responded extremely well to appeals fw- accommodation, he said. w
