ALL BLACK TOUR
LONDON, September 21. “The All Blacks are in for a far rougher tour than the Springboks two years ago,” says Pat Marshall, the Rugby writer of the "Daily Express,” today, reporting on the new confidence in British Rugby Union circles. Marshall says that the Cardiff and Welsh leader. Bledwyn Williams, told him: “We will beat the All Blacks. Over-confidence you say? Not a bit of it. We have the know how and the spirit.”
His remarks were made after Cardiff beat Coventry 12-6 on Saturday. The Coventry lock, Stan Adkins, Is equally sure of England’s prospects. He told Marshall: “We learned a few lessons from the Springboks. One of them was not to reach the peak of fitness too early in the season. We have more than a good chance of beating the All Blacks.”
