DEATH OF ROGER QUILTER

(Rec. 12.5 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 21. Roger Quilter, the.noted British composer. died today. He was 75. Quilter was the third son of Sir Cuthbert Quilter. - He received his education at Eton and Frankfort-on-the-Main. He was a fairly prolific composer of orchestral and vocal music.

Among his best-known works were “Song Cycle to Julia” (1905), Seven Elizabethan Lyrics (1908), Three English Dances (1910). “A Children’s Overture,” and Suite from “As You Like It.’’
