TRAINING RUN AT SINGAPORE

(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. September 21. When the All Blacks visit Singapore on October 17 they will be guests at a match between the unbeaten Fijian regimental side and a combined services and civilian side. The All Blacks will have a training run after the game, and the public will stay for this. Advice to this effect was received today by the executive committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union from the Singapore union. The British Columbia Rugby Union asked whether the All Blacks could play an extra game there in aid of the funds being raised for the 1954 British Empire Games at Vancouver. The request is to be submitted to the council of the New Zealand union.
