NORTHERN -WATERSIDERS AFFILIATED (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 17. The North Island Waterside Workers’ Association, of 3196 members, including the Auckland Cargo Workers’ Union, was one of more than 20 unions which the conference of the New Zealand Federation of Labour admitted to affiliation today. The voting for affiliation of the Whterside Association was 244 to 40. Both the North and South Island Waterside Workers’ Associations are now affiliated to the federation. The Wellington Cargo Workers’ (Permanent) Union did not- apply for affiliation.
