Before the House Adjourned at 4.25 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, the Prime Minister (Mr Holland) outlined legislation which he hoped the House would pass during the present short session.
Mr Holland said that bills to be introduced included one to fix the date of the local body elections and a finance measure. Before the House rose on May 1, he hoped to be able to make provision for a debate on international affairs and a discussion on the last Commonwealth Prime Ministers’ conference in London.
