TENANCY LAW VALIDATED
AMENDING BILL * INTRODUCED
(New Zealand Press Association) m WELLINGTON. April 17. Tenancy regulations, which were recently declared in the Magistrate’s Court to be ultra vires, are enacted in the Tenancy Amendment Bill, which was introduced in the House of Representatives today. These regulations, which prescribed special circumstances to be taken into account in fixing the fair rents ol dwelling houses and business properties, had been made under the princi-' pal act.

The Minister of Labour <Mr W. Sullivan) said that another tenancy bill making minor amendments to the existing tenancy law might be brought down later in the session. The present bill simply regularised what had been done by way of regulation. The invalidated regulations had been incorporated in the statute law.
