ENEMY TRUCE PLAN
Peking Comment On Rejection (Rec. 10 p.m.) TOKYO, October 22. The Peking Radio today described the rejection by the United Nations Supreme Commander, General Mark Clark, of the latest Communist truce proposals as “a wish to continue and extend the Korean war.” It aecu-ed the Americans of shutting the door to the negotiations even tighter by shelling the Panmunjon conference site on the day the proposals were rejected. The radio said that the North Korean Foreign Minister had asked the United Nations Secretary-General (Mr Trygve Lie) to circulate the Communist peace proposals to the Nations delegates.
