WELLINGTON, October S. An announcement to this effect was made by the chairman of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board (Mr J. D. Ormond) tonight. “Although it is not yet possible to issue a complete schedule of the revised prices under the bulk purchase contract with the Uiiited Kingdom Ministry of Food, certain information can be released which will give producers an over-all picture of how the 121 per cent, increase has been allocated throughout the different classes of meat,” Mr Ormond said.
‘■The increases should wqrk out approximately as follows:—-Lambs, quar-ter-beef and porker?, 15 per cent.; wethers. 20 per cent.; edible offal, per cent.,” Mr Ormond said. M No increases have beep provided in respect of ewes and baceners.” Mr Ormond said that the classification of manufacturing meat had yet to
be clarified, but it was expected that all of these classes of meat would be absorbed under a trader-to-trader or tracter-to-Ministry gf Food programme, either in canned processed frozen forq>- , . e.
