CARS COLLIDE
THREE INJURED, ONE FATALLY
Zecdanq Press Association) WANGANUI, October 5. Three persons were injured, one fatally, when two ears collided on the Warrengate road, about eight miles south of Wanganui, and one mile from the main Wanganui Wellington highway, shortly before 4.25 £.m. today. The victims . Killed Beverley Matthews, aged 16, Qf IS Young street. Wanganui E#st. injured Mr M. Q’Dunosmue, aged 18, of Victoria . avenue, Wanganui: concussion and lacerations to the forehead and a knee; condition satisfactory. Miss B. Biddle, ef 133 Puriri Street, Gonviße, Wanganui: lacerations to a leg. She was given hospital treatment and discharged. The car in which Miss Matthews was a passenger was driven by Mr Q’Donoghue. Miss Matthews was sitting in the front seat, and there were two other passengers in fee hack- There were several passengers in the other ear. \Miss Matthews suffered extensive in* juries to her head and legs, and died soon after her admission to fee Wanganui Hospital.
