GLAMOUR WANTED

Sir,—Heathcote County Council says that the air race will put Christchurch on the map. I quite agree. Auckland won the Olympic Games. The railway strike put the tin hat on the Christchurch Centennial. Is the brass hat to be-put on the' exhibition, 1953? Where’are the ladies’ committees who organised the centennial and the PanPacific conference? Let us have a bit more glamour.—Yours, etc, A COUNTRY WOMAN. March 3,1952.
