MOUNT PLEASANT MAIL
Sir, —I would like to know why mail for Mount Pleasant is dispatched for delivery from the Sumner Post Office, thus making a delay of a day in delivery. A letter posted at the Wellington Post Office at 4 o’clock on Monday was not delivered to me unt'il Wednesday afternoon, and one posted in the same place on Friday forenoon was not delivered until Monday. This happens regularly.—Yours, etc, . HOUSEHOLDER. February 22. 1952. [Commenting on this letter the Chief Postmaster. Christchurch, says: “Mail for Mount Pleasant is delivered from the Sumner Post Office with a view to providing an improved letter delivery of local community interest. If the correspondent will furnish particulars to the Post Office his complaint will be gladly investigated.’’]
