DECISION OF SEAMEN AT LYTTELTON

About 100 seamen attended a meeting of members of the Seamen’s Union at Lyttelton yesterday morning. The meeting carried a resolution expressing confidence in the national executive of the union and decided to abide by the policy of the executive. No information as to whether a secret ballot WaS taken Was available. Last week the Lyttelton meeting was the only one at main ports to favour a secret ballot being taken.
