Elgin Farm Sold
A farm of 262 acres 2 roods 10 perches, owned by Mr W. Kennedy Elgin, was sold for £25 16s an acre to Mr H. McNeill at a public auction at Ashburton yesterday. Bidding began at £l9 an acre and rose in bids of £1 to £24. and followed by 10s and 5s bids to £25 13s. There was an attendance of about 45 persons at the sale.
