BALLROOM DANCING
W. MCGAVOCK AND MISS MAYBURY WIN TITLE,
The Canterbury ballroom dancing championship title was won by the holders, ana the 1949 New Zealand title holders, W. McGavock and Miss 8. Maybury, last evening. This was the main event at the New Zealar.d and Australian championships, organised by the Christchurch Centre of the Federal Association of Teachers ol Dancing in Australia and New Zealand, and opened by the Mayor uf Christchurch (Sir Ernest Andrews), last evening. The championship* will be continued on Wednesday, when pairs from A’tstealia. Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch will meet The results of the Canterbury chamPlonsfoP “ follows: W.
