Notification has been received that the Board’s allocation of power has been increased by 12J per cent. All consumers’ allocations are, therefore, being increased in proportion to their reduction of units. The minimum charges are still being kept down to the reduction of 25 per cent. Last week was the first week this Board has been under its allocation since rationing commenced. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Christchurch Drainage Board called for that purpose and held at the Office of the Board in the City of Christchurch on the Twenty-third dav of May, 1950, the said Board DID RESOLVE AND DIRECT:

THAT in pursuance of the powers vested in it by "The Christchurch District Drainage Act, 1907,” "The Rating Act. 1908," and the Several Acts amending the same respectively, and of all other powers in that behalf thereunto it enabling THE CHRISTCHURCH DRAINAGE BOARD at a Special Meeting called for that purpose and held at the Office of the said Board in the City of Christchurch on the Twenty-third day of May, 1950, DOTH RESOLVE AND DIRECT:— 1. THAT a general rate of TWENTYNINE ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY EIGHTHS OF A PENNY (29/128d) in the Pound be levied upon the Capital Rateable Value of all the rateable property in the whole of the said Board’s Drainage District for the general purpose of land and stormwater drainage. 2.
