NOTICE IS ALSO GIVEN that Pursuant to the Provisions of the "Counties Act, 1920.” and the “Rating Act. 1925 ” and Amendments thereto, it is the intention ol the Kaikoura County Council at its next meeting to be held on Friday 23rd June. 1950. to make and levy the following General and Special Rates: d). A General Rate, inclusive of the Hospital Board Levy, of Two and One eighths pence (2Ad) in the Pound (£1) on the Capital Value of all the rateable property appearing upon the Valuation Rolls of the Kaikoura County. (2) A Special Rate of seven sixteenths of a penny (7/16d) in the Pound (£1) on the Capital Value of all the Rateable Property in the Peninsula Riding and Beach road Electric Light Special Rating Area.

(3) A Special Rate of Five sixteenths ol a penny (5/16d) in the pound (£1) on the Capital Value of all Rateable Property in the Kaikoura Township Water Supply Special Rating Area. (4) A Uniform Fee for Sanitation Purposes of Two Pounds Ten Shillings (£2 10s) per Pan per annum on all Houses served within the Town of Kaikoura and where Removal of Rubbish only, the charge to be One Pound Five Shillings (£1 ss) per annum per removal. The Whole of the above Rates and Sanitation Fees to be for the period commencing on the Ist day of April. 1950 and ending on the 31st day of March 1951, and shall be payable in one sum at the Office of the Kaikoura County Council, Beach road. Kaikoura. on Friday Ist day of September. 1950. and to be subject to a Penalty of 10 per cent additional if not paid within six (6) months and fourteen (14) days from date of demand thereof.
