(Rec. 9 p.m.) WASHINGTON. May 29.

It was estimated that 3000 members of the armed forces of North Atlantic Pact countries would be training in the United States by the end of 1950, said the United States Defence Department to-day.

A spokesman for the department said that between 500 and 700 of these forces were in the country now. Their number would reach about 1500 by July.

The nations which had or would have trainees in the United States included Britain. France, Holland, and Belgium.
