SHIPMENTS TO SOVIET BLOC WASHINGTON, May 28. United States export control operations had blocked potential shipments of more than 150,000,000 dollars" worth of goods to States in the Soviet bloc, the United States Department of Commerce announced to-day. These were goods which might increase the war potential of those States. The department stated that the blocked shipments reflected denials of licences to exoort direct to Sovietcontrolled areas. The department, in addition, had denied licences for the shipment of another 12.000.000 dollars in goods to other countries to prevent their possible reshipment to the Soviet bloc.
