BADMINTON

ITINERARY FOR N.Z. TOUR OF AUSTRALIA (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, May 27. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Badminton Federation has announced the itinerary of the team to play in Australia. The team will be split into | two to enable a greater coverage of the j states. The itinerary is:— August 22 and 23, v. Victorian Country: August 25 and 26, v. Victoria, at Melbourne: August 28, v. South Australia, at Adelaide, and Victorian Country match. August 30, v. Launceston, and v. Burnie; September 1 and 2, v. Australia, at Hobart; September 4, v. South Tasmanian Association, at Hobart; September 6, exhibition matches at Canberra or Sydney The possibility of a tour next year of Australia and New Zealand by a Malayan team was mentioned. Tournament dates approved were:— September 11 to 16. 1950, New Zealand championships, at Christchurch (entries close August 15); September 18 to 23, South Island championships at Dunedin, and North Island championships at Auckland; August 26 to September 2, Wellington championships; September 18 to 23, Otago championships; August 25 to September 1, 1951, New Zealand championships at Wellington.
