CHRISTCHURCH CLUB A 30-mile race over a shingle course with minori hills in it was conducted by the Christchurch Cycling Club on Saturday afternoon. Riding a solid race L. Cairns managed to hang on and win by more than three minutes from R. Craig. The first scratch man to finish was F. Chapman, who made the pace too strong for the others off the same mark. He made fastest time and finished fourth. Results : L. Cairns (lOmin), Ihr 42min 55sec, 1; R. Craig (3min), Ihr 38min 2sec, 2: L. Young (7min), Ihr 42min 3sec, 3; F. Chapman (scr), Ihr 35min 7sec, 4; B. Froggatt (scr), Ihr 38min 16sec, 5; J. Brooks (7min), Ihr 46min 2sec, 6. Fastest time: F. Chapman, Ihr 35min 7sec. CANTERBURY CLUB Results of the 25-mile road race held by the Canterbury Amateur Cycling Centre in the Harewood district on Saturday were:—R. Phillips, Ihr 3min 14sec, 1; T.
