TERRORISM IN MALAYA

Australian Help For Britain AIRCRAFT AND MEN TO BE SENT

(Rec. 9.45 p.m.) CANBERRA. May 26. The Australian Government has decided to meet British requests for aid in suppressing terrorism in Malava. It is understood that the aid will probably take the form of air transport, aircraft, and other urgently needed equipment. There will be no dispatch of forces for ordinary ground operations. It is believed that Australia will later help to maintain air forces in Malaya and that aircraft will be sent to Australia for maintenance.

Men of the Royal Australian Air Force and transport aircraft are expected to be ordered to prepare for an early departure.
