ASHBURTON TROTTING CLUB
EXTRA DAY WILL NOT BE USED THIS SEASON The Ashburton Trotting Club will not be able to use its permit, for an additional day’s racing before the end of the cur-1 rent season. The club applied for June 10. but this! date was allotted to the newly-formed t Geraldine Trotting Club, so an * applies-. lion was made for July 15. The New" Zealand Racing Conference, on behalf of the! Waimate Hunt Club, objected to the Ash-! burton Club racing on that date, and as 1 the New Zealand Trotting Conference I and the Racing Conference have not been! able to reach an agreement regarding this! date, the club will have to forgo the day, there being no other available dates. The Ashburton Trotting Club’s commit-: tee has received an assurance from the l New Zealand Trotting Conference that its I right to an additional day next season 1 will in no way be prejudiced. The club' proposes to utilise its extra day on De-' cember 27.
