ILLEGAL MANUFACTURE AND DISTRIBUTION ( Rec. 9 p.m.) TOKYO. May 23. on ™ lce . x h T ve - discovered parts for 20.000 pistOiS m the basement of the former Sawafuji armament plant at Ofuna. The discovery was made after the arrest of five former military officers in Tokyo. They were allegedly negotiating the sale of 70.000 pistols. The police discovered that tens of thousands of pistols had been assembled and distributed from an “under cover” plant since Japan surrendered.
