FIFTH CONFERENCE OF UNESCO

The Florence correspondent of Reuters says that 1000 delegales from 59 countries will meet in Florence today for the fifth general session of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation. The four weeks’ conference promises to be the most important policy-making session held by UNESCO. Far-reaching educational and scientific projects to be discussed range from the provision of technical assistance for underdeveloped countries to the joint compilation of a hisiorj- of mankind, and the standardisation of Braille.
