BUTCHERS’ AND BAKERS’ PRICES

Sir, —Could you please tell me what a butcher and baker are allowed to charge, over and above the current ruling prices, when they call at the door? The question applies to (a) ordinary meat, (b) small goods, such as mince and sausages, (c) small and block cake. Could you also tell me to whom it should be reported if it is found that the butcher or the baker is overcharging?—Yours, etc „ _ CURIOUS. February 3, 1950. [An officer of the Price Control Division (Mr H. F. Larsen) said that if the correspondent would state his case to that department the matter would be looked into.]
