MINISTER ADMITS STAFF “ FRICTION ” LONDON, December 23. A statement has been issued from No. 10 Downing Street on the recent visit of the Minister of . Food (Mr John Strachey) to the East African groundnut scheme. According to the statement,. Mr Strachey told Mr Attlee on his return that there had undoubtedly been internal friction among the staff of the Overseas Food Corporation in East Africa as a result of recent events and public discussions of them. However, the staff was now anxious to do its utmost to make the groundnut scheme a success. '
