There has been a fair amount of rain in the district during the last two weeks and the going may be soft. Horses in favour include:— 11 a.m.—Hopelands Hurdles: Omaio, Incident, French Count. 11.45 a.m.—Novice Plate: Bursar, The Echo, Haughty Boy. 12.30 p.m.—Mangarewa Steeplechase: Tracer, Vassilikos, Foreign Gold. 1.15 p.m.—May Handicap: Liebestraum. Bai rage. Field Marshal. 2 p.m.—Novice Plate No. 2: Statesman, Great Success, Beauform. 2.45 p.m.—Mangapapa Hack Handicap: Chip, Blue Pier. Tharariche. 3.30 p.m.—Telegraph Handicap: Play Boy, Livre d’Or, Blue Skimmers. 4.15 p.m.—Victoria Hack Handicap: Master Crusoe, Foxtonian, Atomic Energy.
