N.S.W. PLAYERS AT HASTINGS
(F A.) HASTINGS. March 1. About 600 persons watched an excellent exhibition of tennis by the visiting New South Wales players at Hastings to-day. The visitors played two singles and one doubles among themselves, and two doubles against top-rankiYig Hawke’s Bay players. Results were:— Singles.—Sidwell beat, McCarthy, 6-3, 8-8; Matthews beat Rocavert, 6-3, 6-0. Doubles.—Matthews and Rocavert beat Noel Wilson and Clifford-Jones. 6-1, 6-1: Sidwell and McCarthy beat Charters and Goodwin. 6-1, 6-2; Sidwell and Rocavert beat McCarthy and Matthews, 6-2, 6-1.
