WORLD EIGHTEEN-FOOTER SERIES

(P.A.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 28. The Australian yachting authorities have agreed to restrictions governing entries for thq world 18-footer series. Competing boats must not be less than 17ft -9in, and not more than 18ft overall. They may be open or half-decked, and there will be no restrictions on sail area. This statement was made by Mt D. H. Skelton, manager of the New Zealand crews, on his return from Sydney to-day. He said the Australians were keen to sail the championships in conjunction with the Empire Games in Auckland next season.
