CZECH DEFENCE MINISTER
FLIGHT TO GERMANY REPORTED LONDON, July 16. The official Czech news agency says that General Svoboda, the Czech Minister of Defence, has begun one month’s leave, during which he will not be able to answer personal letters or telephone calls. General Svoboda, formerly a nonparty man, announced several weeks ago that he would join the Communist Party. The Prague correspondent of the Associated Press says that General Svoboda has fled to Germany.
