UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS The attention of all interested in University examinations is directed to an important step which has been taken by the University this year in the direction of further entrusting to the University Colleges the actual conduct of some of the annual examinations for University degrees, diplomas, etc. Those examinations conducted by the Colleges will take place largely in October, but in certain subjects or stages the CoUeges may hold over the examinations till later in November. The various Colleges will prepare and distribute their own time-tables, which will govern the following subjects:— Medical and other Intermediates. (Stages I and II) of Arts and Science, in whatever courses these appear; Stage HI and Masters in English, Education, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geology; French in Canterbury only; German in Canterbury only; Mathematics in Otago only; Stage 111 in Economics, Music Biochemistry. Physiology; Diploma in Education; Law, Divisions 1 IV and Masters; Bachelor of Engineering; Bachelor of Agriculture; Bachelor and Diploma of Music. All other examinations are retained by the University and will be conducted as usual in the first fortnight in November for degrees and diplomas, and in December for Entrance and Entrance Scholarships. .
