YOUNG MAN ADMITS 45 CHARGES
(P.A.) AUCKLAND. July 15. It took 15 minutes for the Clerk of the Court to read the 45 charges to which Jack Oliver Cropley, aged ■2O, labourer, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to-day. Tl>ere were 16 charges of breaking and entering counting-houses with intent to commit a crime, 16 of breaking and entering and theft from countinghouses, five of breaking and entering and theft from schools, four of breaking and entering schools with intent to commit a crime, one of breaking and entering and theft from a shop, one of breaking and entering a warehouse with intent to commit a crime, one of breaking, entering, and theft from a warehouse, and one of theft. Between February 12 and July 5, Cropley stole money and property valued at £154 12s 6d. said Detective A. J. Moore. Goods valued at £l5 3s 9d had been recovered Cropley was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
