ACCIDENTS
CHILD FATALLY SCALDED FALL INTO COPPER OF HOT WATER (P.A.) INVERCARGILL. July 14. Fatal scalds were suffered by Merian Clare Davis, aged 17 months, daughter of Mr and Mrs F. A. Davis, of Longwood, when she fell into a copper containing hot water on Monday. She died on Tuesday. BOY INJURED AT FOOTBALL A fractured arm, and dislocation of an elbow were suffered by Henry Te Aika, aged 13, of Tuahiwi,' /hen he was playing football yesterday. He was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hos-
pital at 5 p.m., and his condition was reported to be satisfactory last evening.
